After a few months of working on the webpage and attending Bellevue University for my education, I’ve taken a step back to reassess the scalability of the “TekRP” webpage. My thoughts are to keep “TekRP” online but to reduce its content to just basic resources that I had in the Garage LAN. My thoughts are to take all the content currently on TekRP.com and move it all to Zeemew.com where myself would become the “Owner/Operator” of Zemew.
Zeemew will be an editorial that has several things available to its registered supporters. Upon registering the registrant will have a “Zeemew” style profile to build. This will appear basic initially but over time be developed to where each group in the profile can be edited, shown or not shown and eventually the registrant will be able to create their own groups. When the game servers come online, it would be nice to have a link created so that registrant statistics in Zeemew game servers could be outputted onto their Zeemew profile page (Which can be toggled on/off).
Communities that decide to support Zeemew and push their members to Zeemew to enjoy as a reference and the game servers will be listed on the Home page under “Supported Communities” and will have the privilege to designate an individual(s) to post articles of significance (like trips to TwitchCon, not daily streams) to promote how awesome they are.
Zeemew will have a stream channel, YouTube and X/Bluesky’s to post latest released content. The Stream channel will be used for live streams at events and for hosting interviews and reviews, ect. YouTube will be used to store historical content to be accessed by users.
Zeemew Income will be derived from sponsors and ads, however not like ads today that are annoying and take up 75% of our life. Going back to a “MySpace” ad model of just side banners and occasionally in the YouTube videos because its YouTube and saving Zeemew a Ton of money on storage/streaming of videos. There will not be videos that start muted and after pressing the unmute button 3 times to verify a user is present shows an ad, that will not be acceptable. Zeemew will gladly follow companies like Valve that are for the gamer and not get greedy for another Dollar by sacrificing the user experience. To be explored are subscription models that would remove ads and/or give access to “behind the scenes of Zeemew” content.
Zeemew hosted game servers are to be one game server for all, not individual game servers for everyone. Minecraft will always be priority. Supported communities can suggest members of their communities to be moderators of specific servers but not administrators with access to hardware or connections. Access to hardware and connections is for Zeemew staff only. This is to protect the interface.
Zeemew will have a forum for answering questions and praising registrants for their contributions and discussing DIY projects. The single point for the community to convene together. Interaction within the community is a must along with being able to give sponsors a way to reach out to the community.
Zeemew’s store will be filled with PC stuff, game stuff, ect and things that we have developed to assist us in making our PC/Gaming lives a little better and more awesomer. This store will be ran within the Amazon Warehouse Network to keep costs to a minimum. This will also leave shipping, packing, taking orders, payments to the Amazon interface. This is a huge service to take advantage of and Zeemew will.
I really like this idea, it’s simple and something that can be done on the side in my free time. I think it will be fun to see how it turns out!
